BERWYN RT. 66 CAR SHOW 2017 >> Why 2017 Was Best In Show

The WeatherTech 27th Annual Berwyn Rt66 Car Show sponsored by Paisans Pizzeria And Bar was held on Ogden Avenue in Berwyn on Saturday, August 26.

Berwyn has always been a great Route 66 town with a thriving, dynamic and fast-growing community at its heart. The Route 66 Car Show is the area’s best and biggest car show where visitors can soak up the classic car culture of Historic Route 66 with a stroll down the Mother Road itself. Spectators marveled at over 595 vintage and custom cars, trucks and motorcycles!

Registered participants received a t-shirt, dash plaque and goodie bag. “Fun” awards are also doled out in a wide variety of categories with names including “B-B-B-Bad to the Bone,” “Hog Heaven,” “Impressive Import,” “Hot Hauler,” “Pleasantly Preserved,” and “Slo & Lo” to name a few. Automobile flamethrowers, live entertainment & a variety of hometown eats

A color guard and national anthem at Ogden Top & Trim kicked off the procession, followed by a parade to the World War I Memorial and a flag raising. Live entertainment included Automobile Flamethrowers by Romin’ Chariots Car Club and Cacklefest by Mike Taylor’s Nitro Express a/fuel dragster. See them for yourself in the Photo Gallery.

Visitors enjoyed performances by Rick “Elvis” Saucedo and PettyCash and an appearance by 94.7 WLS-FM Morning Host & NBC Chief Meteorologist Brant Miller. A variety of hometown eats graced the scene for spectators to munch on.

All in all, it was a beautiful day in Berwyn with recording setting participation by car enthusiasts and visitors. Join us next year on Saturday, August 25, 2018!
